Season

Our working dairy farm is open for weddings & events from the beginning of May till the end of September.

Parking

Parking is available on the field for up to 100 cars. Please be mindful that you will be parking on grass so lift sharing is encouraged to help preserve the ground.

Utilities

Luxury toilets will need to be hired in especially for your event. We work with suppliers who specialise in providing luxury toilet facilities for events, however if you prefer to use another supplier we can liaise with your chosen one.

To power your event a generator will be required, which we source and the cost of this will be included within your price.

Water is available via a tap in The Camp, ideal for your caterer or camping needs.

Entertainment

Live bands must finish their music set by 11pm. To be considerate to our neighbours and animals we request that all music must be turned off by 1am. Fireworks are allowed.

Catering

Many venues place restrictions on the caterer you use for your special event, however at Walnut Tree Farm you can use whatever caterer you desire, and however many you want from mobile pizza ovens to Prosecco vans! We can liaise with your caterers and run through all the set up details and utility basics, taking all the stress out of the planning.

Humanist Weddings

Unfortunately England are a little behind the times and getting married in a field is not considered legal. We offer humanist weddings which we believe makes the whole occasion more flexible and much more personal, as you can tailor your ceremony to what you want to include, with personal vows being a highlight of humanist weddings. Many couples take care of the legalities at a local register office and consider their humanist wedding their real wedding. We can put you in touch with a celebrant and assist in finding a place where you can register your marriage.

Glamping

If you are wanting a festival wedding or special event, we have plenty of space to host you and your guests. You can bring your own tents or alternatively we can discuss options to include some unique camping tipi’s which would be pitched and taken down by us. Shower facilities would need to be hired in, which can be arranged by us should you wish to request this option. Breakfast vans can be arranged for the happy campers, or if you wish to extend your festival event for additional nights this can be discussed.

Our Rules

We want you to have the best event possible and encourage you to try something different. We don’t offer specific packages as each wedding or special event is individual, leaving each event at Walnut Tree Farm completely unique.

We do request a few things from you to help preserve our working dairy farm and keep the natives happy;

Please be mindful to our animals and don’t drop any litter. The event space must be cleared within 48 hours after your event.

No flying (sky) lanterns

No campfires

If you bring your dog along, any litter must be disposed of by yourselves
